There are certain things I want to remember... things that made me laugh along my IRONMAN journey. This is one of them.  Friday, 20 August 2018... text sent to friends and family...  --- So, I swam 5,000 yards this morning...  3,000 of it was non-stop.   Before I started, Coach asked me how many laps was 3,000 yards... and I said, "60!"   And he said, "Very good!"  And I said, "I'm going to do 20, 20, 20."  And he said, "Whatever." :)  Anyway, I swam 3,000 in the same time it took me to swim 2,500 two weeks ago... 56 minutes and some seconds...   Coach said, "You must have had a bad day that day you swam 2,500."   I said, "It was a good day that day." :)   But he gave me the best compliment when I was all done today, he said I'm ready for my IRONMAN swim! :) --- My favorite part is when Coach said, "Whatever." :)

I changed something.  I changed something that has been sitting in the back of my mind begging to be changed.   The header of my blog originally said: The Road to Lifestyle A Journey to Success:  As Told by a Writer, Artist, Leader, and Friend But I've been thinking... that's not right at all! I talk to my agents about what I call "redefining their success" all the time. What does it mean?  It means I am a success every day of my life. When I make a recruiting follow up call, my success is the fact that I did what I said I was going to do. I picked up the phone and I made the dial.   I said I'd call at 2:00 PM EST.  And it's 2:00 PM EST... or maybe even 1:59 PM EST. I don't care if they answer, I can't control that.  But I can control myself. I can discipline myself and take personal responsibilty for my life and my actions. And I can be PROUD of that! I can feel a sense of accomplishment and victory from that. So it's not a jo...

A few months ago I posted something that never really sat well with me. It was about passion and doing something you're not passionate about until you can afford to do what your passionate about. Well I agreed that it was OK to do something you don't have a passion for and, like I said, it never really felt right. Sometimes the world gives you what you need to hear when you're ready to hear it... so just this past week I listened to something that solidified which side of the fence I was really on. Folks, you should NEVER do something you don't have a passion for. It is a miserable trail of pain, heartache, and utter frustration that will send you barreling down to the pits of an abysmal despair in short order. Ask me how I know... and you would have thought I had learned my lesson!
