Piano (Wo)man!

Today was my first piano lesson EVER!

I am taking lessons through The Piano Preparatory School in Beavercreek, Ohio!

My instructor's name is Hanna Rinehart and she is wonderful!

We had our first duet today and I was overcome with emotion in that moment... I felt like crying...

I thought to myself, "I'm doing it! I'm really doing it!"

More to come on my piano adventure!

Here is Hanna's bio:

Hannah received a Bachelor of Music degree in Keyboard Pedagogy from Cedarville University.  During her time at Cedarville, she performed three recitals, was a member of The Piano Ensemble, accompanied for The Concert Chorale for three years, and collaborated with instrumentalists and vocalists on numerous occasions. In 2015 and 2016, Hannah received The Love Pedagogy Scholarship in Music from Cedarville. She also won the University’s Concerto Competition in 2016 and performed a double piano concerto with the university’s orchestra in the spring of that year. Her research has included classical improvisation, and teaching music to special needs students, specifically students with hearing impairments. She has taught piano privately for more than 5 years and greatly enjoys helping her students learn. Her goal in teaching is to generate a love for and appreciation of music in her students by teaching in a way that is best suited to the individual.
